چکیده

Introduction Polysulfides play a critical role in the optimization of many chemical processes. Dimethyl disulfide (DMDS), for example, is used as coke inhibiting additive in steam cracking furnaces and can also be used as photolytic initiator during free radical polymerization.[1, 2] Also tetrasulfides are frequently used in chemistry, mostly as inhibitors during polymerization reactions. Despite the industrial significance of polysulfides, experimental and theoretical studies concerning their reaction behavior are scarce.

Ab initio Study of Simple Mg-Ene Reactions of Propenyl Magnesium Halides and Ethylene (Type-I Intermolecular Reaction)

The insertion of an olefinic C=C bond into a metal-carbon bond is of potential interest as a preparativeroute to new products and as results of C-C coupling reactions to organic compounds. The allyl compoundsof Mg, react with an olefin by inversion of the allyl group via a six center transition state. These precyclicreactions may be one of the most important classes of organic reactions. The re...

Ab initio (first principle) material modeling study on Lio adsorbed by palladium-cobalt (PdCo) nanoparticles

PdCo subnanoalloys have been commonly used as a catalytic material in some important chemicalreactions, involving in fisher-tropsch reactions, and oxygen reduction reactions. In terms ofunderstanding the role of catalysis, these smallest bimetallic nanoparticles provide the simplestprototypes of Pd-Co bimetallic catalysts for different compositions. In this study, the effect o...

Kinetic Modeling of the Gas Phase Decomposition of Germane by Computational Chemistry Techniques

Very limited experimental data are available on thermal decomposition of germane in the gas phase. Recent developments in theoretical quantum chemistry techniques such as ab initio Hartree-Fock and density functional methods have made accurate determination of molecular properties possible. Systematic development of a detailed gas-phase decomposition mechanism for germane using ab initio molecu...
